Book Review: The Wednesday Letters by Jason F. Wright

I found this book at Powerbooks in one of the warehouse sales. It “called out” to me. I normally do not buy books I am not familiar with, but this was different. First of all, I am attracted to the color red. I am also interested about the letters mentioned in the blurb. After a few months, I found out that there’s a letter attached at the back of the book marked “epilogue”. I did not read it. I almost did, but I didn’t.

Book Review: Whipped by Alex Lux

I received a Kindle copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review. I did not receive monetary compensation for reading and writing about it.

While this is a series, the books can be read as stand alone. There’s no cliffhanger, just sex. And lots of it. That said, this is for mature audiences only. If you’re below 18, please know better and stay away from this book. 😀

Vi was a dominatrix who now owns a sex toy shop in Vegas. She also happens to be looking for a new roommate. I bet you can imagine where this is going.

Vi: If you can’t sell a dildo in Vegas, you’re doing it wrong. That’s why I opened Whipped–a sex toy store. Because sex and Sin City go together like… well, like sex and Sin City.

I’ve seen everything–and I mean EVERYTHING–which is why the guy who comes in every week with a new flavor of arm candy buying yet another set of sex toys doesn’t surprise me. But when he becomes my new roommate, well…

Lachlan: I’m a male stripper. I’m not ashamed of it–in fact, I fucking love it. I turn girls on five nights a week. With a stare. With a sway of the hips. Then I take them home and fuck their brains out. I live by three rules: No commitments. No falling in love. Only mind-blowing orgasms.

Now I want more.

But Vi isn’t interested in a fuck buddy, and I’ve never been one to stick to a single girl.

They say that what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas. But when you live here full time…

That’s when things really get interesting.

Book Review: Hitched by Alex Lux

I received a Kindle copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review. I did not receive monetary compensation for reading and writing a review.

WARNING: This book is for mature audiences only. It contains a lot of sex and swearing not suitable for people under 18.

I normally don’t review erotica-ish books on my blog but I thought I might as well do since I’ve started reading the genre anyway. The first full-length book with a similar theme that I read is Fifty Shades of Grey, and I didn’t even read that, I listened to the audiobook because I couldn’t stand the writing style. Plus, it’s porn. So I wasn’t quite sure what to expect from this, but I have read previous works of Alex Lux so I know that this would be better written than FSOG.

What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas…

Or it changes your life forever.

He called me “wife.”

This man standing naked in front of me. Tall. Dark. Sexy as sin…

He’s my husband?

Disjointed images from the night before, the night I can’t entirely remember, float into my mind.

Meeting him in the bar. Sharing tidbits of our lives. I own a company that plans bachelor parties. He’s a pediatric heart surgeon.

We both live in Las Vegas, but we come from very different worlds.

And then I remember that kiss. The way his lips brushed against mine, gentle at first, then harder, deeper, with more urgency.

Sex in the elevator. Hot, forbidden, delicious.

I remember the way he made me feel. The way our bodies fit perfectly together.

But I don’t remember marrying him.

And now, he won’t let me go. Dr. Sexy who saves children for a living. He wants the summer to prove we are meant to be.

I can give him a summer.

But can I give him a lifetime?
