Only A Kiss is written by Ines Bautista-Yao, a Filipina, and I am so happy to be part of this book tour.

I featured this the other day and posted an excerpt which you can find by clicking here.

Aside from my review, there is also a giveaway at the end of this post.

When she was nine-years-old, Katie knew she wanted Chris to give her her first kiss. It wasn’t because she was in love with him (no way, he was her best friend! Besides, she was in love with his fourteen-year-old big brother), it was because she could make him do anything she wanted.
Besides, it didn’t really mean anything. It was only a kiss after all.

But then things started to change. They grew up. They parted ways and went to different high schools. And other girls and boys—well, just one particular boy—came into the picture, throwing their lives upside down.

Told from the alternating points of view of Katie and Chris, this love story between two best friends will tug at your heartstrings and leave you thinking how the simplest things can mean so much.

Book Review: Born of Fire by Heather McCorkle

I read Born of Fire out of curiosity. It’s the prequel to The Secret of Spruce Knoll: A Channeler Novel. It’s the first time I have heard of this series, it’s about druids or channelers, and I’ve only heard of druids from TV shows.

The story of the night Aiden was born has never been told, until now. Fleeing the Hunters, Kevan and Shannon O’Reilly find their way to Spruce Knoll Colorado, assuming they’ll be safe in America. Their unborn son is special, even for a druid, or a channeler as the American’s like to call their kind. But why the Hunters, people who are sworn to keep their kind safe, are after them is a mystery. All they know is that if they don’t outrun them they’ll be killed.

Trouble has followed them to Spruce Knoll and just when it seems it may be too late, they discover the true reason why.
